Remember Regulation 42 states “As a PCBU you must ensure an adequate number of workers are trained to administer first aid at the workplace or workers have access to an adequate number of other people who have been trained to administer first aid”.
In addition, Safe Work Australia’s code of practice states “As a minimum, first aiders should hold nationally recognised Statement/s of Attainment issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the nationally endorsed first aid unit of competency Provide First Aid or a course providing equivalent skills. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance.
Our combined course includes e-Learning plus face-to-face classroom training and assessment. The online e-learning is the theory component that is to be successfully completed prior to attending our face to face practical day course with practical and scenario-based assessments.
Combined Provide First Aid with Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training delivers important skills and knowledge required to provide a critical first aid response to a casualty either as a workplace First Aider or at home or travel. It is ideally suited for people in all workplaces including mining, construction, education and those who wish to learn new skills. Course Currency:
- HLTAID011 – Provide first aid: current to release 1.
- HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation: current to release 1.

- Online Component (including assessments) - 5 Hours

Course Requirements
Students must complete the online module at least two working days before undertaking the face-to-face course.
Prior to attending the course, learners are sent a link to complete mandatory online pre-course learning and assessment by reading the Learner Guide and successfully answering eighty (80) knowledge quiz questions at their own pace. This must be completed prior to attending the practical session unless there are extenuating circumstances. In this situation, the learner must advise the Trainer and Assessor on arrival to the practical session.
Location
This is a full-day course is conducted on Fridays subject to group bookings 5 or more from 07:45 am – 4:00 pm at our Training Centre. Skills Force Australia is located in Wangara with free parking, however, there is the option for us to deliver training at your workplace subject to Trainer travel/time fee.
