This important online course is suitable for workplace induction training, general professional development and career building. Participants will learn the basics of first attack fire-fighting equipment, develop an understanding of evacuation procedures, the legislation behind it and the Emergency control organisation functions. Course material is based on the AS Planning for Emergencies in Facilities.

Course Content:

This fire safety course will instill valuable knowledge of:

  • The six classes of fire and the fire triangle
  • Knowing different types of emergency
  • How to use first attack fire equipment including fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels, and
  • Develop an understanding of workplace emergency evacuation procedures and the principle roles within the workplace emergency control organisation ECO.

Assessment:

You are required to complete and successfully pass the four assessments at the end of each session.

Certification:

Upon completion, participants will be presented with a Certificate of Completion.

Course Duration:

Allow 35 minutes

Pre-Requisites:

There are no pre-requisites required for this course.

You will be issued with a certificate of completion once you have met all requirements of this course.

Certificates are available for download from our Online Learning Management System.
